Inter Milan have already cashed in to the tune of €68 million from participation in the Champions League this season.
This according to Italian outlet Calcio e Finanza. They reveal the Nerazzurri’s total earnings from the competition so far, even before securing direct round of sixteen qualification.
Inter got an important victory in the Champions League yesterday evening.
The Nerazzurri have not quite qualified directly for the round of sixteen in the competition just yet. However, they have come very close by beating Sparta yesterday.
If Inter are to book their place in the knockout rounds, it will represent a significant financial windfall.
But as Calcio e Finanza reveal, even without the round of sixteen secured, inter have already brought in close to €70 million.
First of all, Calcio e Finanza report, Inter’s participation bonus currently stands at €18.62 million.
Then, there is the matter of the Nerazzurri’s earnings from their table position. That is worth €6.88 million, reports Calcio e Finanza.
Next, Inter’s share of broadcast revenues from the Champions League is worth €24.02 million.
The Nerazzurri’s historical ranking, meanwhile, sees them earn €7.36 million to date from the competition.
Lastly, there is the €11.2 million in results bonuses that Inter have brought in for five wins and a draw.
