According to what has been reported by TuttoMercatoWeb, the deal finally looks set for completion – after being slowed down in recent days due to the bureaucratic processes of the Saudi Pro League.

The Saudi side will pay Atalanta a fee believed to be in the region of €68.5 million, with €3.7 million of that owed to previous clubs in the Italian’s career.

Retegui is set to earn a reported wage of around €20 million per season, with estimates projecting he will be making eight times what he was in Bergamo last season. After a big season for La Dea, Retegui has been rewarded – whilst he has also been warned this move may impact his chances of being selected for the Italian national team.
