Inter Milan defender Benjamin Pavard (29) is expected to reject the opportunity to join Saudi Pro League side Neom SC, as per Foot Mercato. The 29-year-old would be allowed to leave Christian Chivur’s Nerazzurri should a suitable bid be presented to the Serie A side. Pavard joined Inter Milan from Bayern Munich two years ago. His contract expires in 2028.

The outlet understands that Neom SC made contact with Pavard’s entourage, but the former Lille OSC Academy product has no intention to join Saudi Arabia for now, considering that joining the Saudi Pro League might compromise his chances to be selected in Didier Deschamps’ France squad for the 2026 World Cup.

Türkish Süper Lig giants Galatasaray have made signing Pavard a priority, but competition will be fierce to acquire the services of the 2020 Champions League winner with Bayern. Lille OSC are plotting an ambitious move to bring Pavard back to his formative club, but the defender’s significant wages could prove a stumbling block.
