Report Winks targeted by Fiorentina after Leicester City row | OneFootball

Fiorentina are reportedly showing an interest in Leicester City midfielder Harry Winks, who is also targeted by Valencia and Brentford.

According to The Telegraph, the Viola are among the potential contenders for the 29-year-old England international.

His contract with Leicester City only runs to the end of the season, so they have to consider a sale to avoid losing him for free next summer.

It would not be an entirely new experience in Serie A for the player, because he had a one-season loan at Sampdoria in the 2022-23 campaign.

He made 20 competitive appearances for the Blucerchiati, missing the first half of the campaign with an ankle injury.

There was some tension between Winks and Leicester in recent months, over his insistence on staying close to his family in London, commuting to training.

Obviously, if he was to move abroad, then it would require his whole family to make the transition.

Other clubs said to be interested in his signature are Brentford and Valencia.

Leicester City paid €11.6m to buy him from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023.
