Negotiations between Inter Milan and Genoa for Koni De Winter are reportedly gaining momentum.

According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, the clubs maintain constant contact as they work toward an agreement.

Koni De Winter has become a realistic target for the Nerazzurri.

Indeed, Parma’s €40 million valuation of Giovanni Leoni has deterred the San Siro outfit from pursuing his signature.

Therefore, they’ve temporarily suspended their interest in the 18-year-old.

Leoni remains a genuine target for Cristian Chivu, but his arrival looks unlikely at this point.

On the other hand, De Winter’s price tag is within Inter’s budget.

Indeed, the Griffins are willing to let the 23-year-old swap allegiances for a reported fee of €25m.

As for De Winter, he’d probably embrace the move.
