There seems to be bad blood between long-serving Inter Milan stalwarts Lautaro Martinez and Hakan Calhanoglu.
According to Luca Marchetti via FCInter1908, the club believes the two can mind fences if the latter decides to stay.
Hakan Calhanoglu has been at the center of wild transfer rumors since the start of the summer transfer window.
Indeed, Galatasaray’s interest in the 31-year-old has been filling the headlines.
However, the reigning Super Lig champions still haven’t agreed on a transfer fee with Inter.

Calhanoglu’s hesitation to address his future prompted a fierce reaction from Lautaro Martinez last month.
Indeed, the Nerazzurri captain lost his temper after a 2-0 loss to Fluminense at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
During a post-match interview, he urged ‘everyone who doesn’t want to stay to leave,’ referring mainly to Calhanoglu.
However, with the Turkish midfielder increasingly likely to stay, the club must find a way to mend tensions inside the dressing room.
According to Marchetti’s report, everyone around San Siro is confident the two can move past the rift.
