After the fantastic play of Álvaro Fidalgo in his first Liga MX tournament, Santiago Solari is hoping to bring another former Real Madrid player to América for the 2021 Apertura season.
According to Record, Solari has personally requested the addition of forward Cristo González, who is currently at LaLiga2 side Mirandés on loan from Serie A outfit Udinese.
Cristo, still just 23, completed his training at Real Madrid Castilla under Solari, who gave him his four first-team appearances for Los Blancos during the 2018-19 season.
Before any contact can be made, the club must reduce their number of foreign players.
It’s already been confirmed that Nicolás Castillo will not enter into Solari’s plans, while offers will continue to be heard for Roger Martínez.
This past season, Cristo scored four goals and two assists in 20 games for CD Mirandés.
