According to GiveMeSport and Transfermarkt.de, a solution has been reached allowing Thomas Müller to join Vancouver Whitecaps.

FC Cincinnati will receive $400,000 GAM (General Allocation Money) from the Whitecaps for the initial discovery rights for Müller.

While the German won't receive a Designated Player spot with the Canadian club until the current season's end, he will have one starting in 2026.

Thus, the Canadians have convinced the 35-year-old to move and as a Designated Player, Müller can be paid outside the salary cap and thus significantly better.

Just finer details remain to be ironed out between the Whitecaps and Müller, with a contract agreement in the final stages.
