Justin Kluivert’s Premier League journey took a significant leap in 2024/25, and the numbers back it up. With 12 league goals to his name, the Dutch forward has not only shown end product but also displayed tactical flexibility, playing across the front line for Bournemouth. According to a report by Caught Offside, the 26-year-old has now caught the eye of several top clubs, with Manchester United, Newcastle, Liverpool and Tottenham all monitoring his situation.
Having joined Bournemouth for a modest fee, the Cherries now value Kluivert between €50–55 million. They’re in no rush to sell, but as Caught Offside reports, they recognise the “potential to make a significant profit.”
United’s pursuit of Kluivert is far from reactionary. Caught Offside confirms that the Red Devils have followed him since his Ajax days, and their admiration has only grown with his recent form. Described as a “versatile attacking option who could thrive under a more fluid attacking setup,” Kluivert seems to align well with the kind of dynamic, interchangeable forward line that manager Rúben Amorim is reportedly aiming to build.

It’s also telling that Amorim’s United are prioritising attacking reinforcements, and Kluivert’s ability to operate in multiple roles — winger, second striker, or even as a false nine — adds real value to any tactical evolution.
United aren’t alone in chasing Kluivert. Newcastle are looking for more firepower to complement Alexander Isak, while Liverpool and Tottenham remain attentive, especially if they part ways with fringe attackers. Even Bayer Leverkusen, now under Erik ten Hag, have shown concrete interest, as per Caught Offside. With Florian Wirtz potentially joining Liverpool for €136.5 million, Leverkusen may have the funds to tempt Bournemouth.
But crucially, Caught Offside notes that Kluivert “is most interested in remaining in the Premier League, ideally with a top-six club.” That may work in United’s favour, especially given their historical pull and current squad rebuild.
While Kluivert’s talent and ceiling are clear, the question remains whether he’s worth the £47m+ asking price. Bournemouth’s stance is firm, and with no urgency to sell, it’s a seller’s market. For United, who already have a lot of work to do in the attack, spending heavily on Kluivert may limit over market opportunities.
That said, United’s need for goal contributions from wide areas remains critical, and Kluivert’s productivity makes him a credible candidate to address that gap.
From a Manchester United fan’s perspective, this potential move is intriguing but also polarising.
On the one hand, Kluivert’s Premier League record is solid, and his best football seems ahead of him. He’s fast, technically sharp, and clearly gaining confidence in front of goal. United’s attack has often looked one-dimensional in recent seasons, especially when Rashford or Bruno aren’t firing. Adding someone like Kluivert could give United a much-needed directness and unpredictability in the final third.
But there are concerns too. The €55 million price tag is steep for a player with just one standout season in England. And while his name carries weight due to his father’s legacy, fans will want to see real consistency — not just flashes. The question is: is he a level above what United already have, or just another squad player?
That said, if Amorim is planning to rotate heavily and build depth for a more aggressive, high-press system, Kluivert makes sense. He works hard off the ball, and he’s shown resilience adjusting to the Premier League’s physical demands.
In conclusion, United fans should see this as a positive signal of intent — but only if this move is part of a broader, well-structured recruitment plan. If he’s brought in to elevate the squad rather than simply fill numbers, it could be a shrewd investment.
