After a successful second half of the season on loan at Preston North End, Leicester City goalkeeper Daniel Iversen is reportedly set to return for the upcoming campaign.

The 23-year-old, who joined Leicester from Esbjerg in 2016, enjoyed success during his fourth different loan spell, starting all 23 of Preston’s Championship games and earning nine clean sheets.

The Dane will begin the pre-season with Leicester City as both Kasper Schmeichel and Danny Ward will be participating in Euro 2020 with Denmark and Wales, respectively.

However, Iversen is expected to link back up with Preston by the end of July.

Iversen is under contract until 2025 and has also spent time on loan at Oldham Athletic and Rotherham United.
