Inter Milan have made Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund one of their main targets in attack for this summer.

The Nerazzurri are not fazed by the fact that the Denmark international has struggled massively across his two seasons at Old Trafford.

Inter still rate Hojlund highly on the basis of his performances for Atalanta three seasons ago.

And at 22 years of age, Hojlund would certainly fit into Inter’s efforts to build around a younger squad starting next season.

Inter Milan have already approached Man United about signing Hojulnd. The Nerazzurri have made clear that their interest is serious, and the clubs are negotiating.

The Red Devils want a fee of around €45 million for Rasmus Hojlund.

And Inter are ready to invest somewhere in that ballpark in a deal for the Dane.

However, the formula of a deal is currently a sticking point in the talks between the two club.

The Gazzetta report that Manchester United want to sell Hojlund outright this summer. Meanwhile, Inter have asked for a loan deal containing a purchase option.

However, reports the Gazzetta, the two clubs are getting closer and closer to a compromise.

That could be on the basis of an initial loan deal with a purchase obligation next summer. Moreover, there could also be a loan fee this summer.

This could allow Inter to spread out the payment for Hojlund, but also allow United to bring in the fee they want.
