Juventus join the race to sign Tottenham superstar Harry Kane

According to Italian publication Calciomercato (h/t Daily Star), Tottenham Hotspur superstar and England captain Harry Kane has emerged as a summer transfer target for Serie A giants Juventus.

Kane’s future has been the topic of speculation ever since reports emerged last month that he had informed the club of his desire to leave in the summer transfer window. This led to serious interest in the England striker from Premier League clubs Manchester City, Manchester United as well as Chelsea.

It now seems that the interest in Kane is not limited to England only, with Juventus also hoping to sign the 27-year-old. The Bianconeri are set for a massive squad overhaul this season, with Massimiliano Allegri back at the helm replacing Andrea Pirlo.

The new Juventus boss is keen on bringing in a marquee attacking signing this summer, especially given as the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala have been linked with a move away from the Allianz Stadium. (h/t Daily Star)

The report further goes on to mention that Kane’s £10m per year wages would not be a problem for Juventus, especially if they are able to get Ronaldo and Dybala’s wages off the books. The biggest obstacle, though, will be Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy.

It is claimed that the Spurs head honcho is demanding a transfer fee of £130m for Kane and will not budge from his stance, given that the striker still has three years left on his contract with the club.

Talks about Kane and his future will continue to dominate the headlines even though the centre-forward is currently away on international duty, representing England in the UEFA Euro 2020.

Given what’s been doing the rounds in media, it seems like that the 27-year-old could very well end up leaving Tottenham this summer. At the same time, though, not many clubs would be able to meet Levy’s demands for Kane in the current pandemic-hit market. So, it remains to be seen what the future holds in store for the Tottenham superstar.
