Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta says he is relishing the selection headaches he has ahead of Sunday’s north London derby.

The Gunners have a near fully-fit squad going into the match at Tottenham, with Jurrien Timber the only doubt.

The defender has been absent since the opening Premier League game of the season with a knee injury, but could make the squad on Sunday.

“We are going to have to make that decision tomorrow after the training session,” said Arteta. “It’s very close. I don’t know if it is going to come a bit too early this one, but is very close, I’d say.”

Arteta will be tempted to name the same side which beat Chelsea 5-0 on Tuesday given how well they performed.

He could, however, make changes and Jorginho is one of those hoping to coming into the side in place of fellow midfielder Thomas Partey.

Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli are also contenders to get the nod on the left flank ahead of Leandro Trossard.

“It’s a good headache! You feel for the players because you see how much they want it, how much everyone wants to start and contribute to the team in the right way,” said Arteta.

“It’s always difficult, it’s part of the job, but as well they’re fully ready to come on the pitch however we need them to try to help us to win matches. Their spirit is very good.”
