The 36-year-old had left Juventus on Friday after Massimiliano Allegri confirmed that the player does not intend to play for the Old Lady anymore. The Portuguese was then spotted boarding a plane, but few knew his destination- least of all United fans.

However, the Red Devils convinced the player of their young exciting project and they soon agreed on a deal with the 5-time Ballon d’Or winner. Ronaldo scored a staggering 118 goals in 292 games for the Old Trafford outfit in his first spell with the club.

The 36-year-old will cost United nearly €15million plus a further €8million in add-ons, which was decided as the forward agreed personal terms over a two-year contract with the club.

The Portuguese remains an incredible athlete and still has the levels in his game to guide United to glory in his second spell as a Red Devil. Moreover, he could also have an influence on the players around, especially the young players at the club who do look up to him.

With United’s next game at Old Trafford against Newcastle United on the 11th of September post the international break, it could be a possibility that the 36-year-old features on the day for the first time under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
