Portuguese super agent Jorge Mendes has reportedly offered Inter Milan wingback Denzel Dumfries to Barcelona.

According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Catalan outfit would gladly sign the Dutchman.

However, there’s a catch.

Denzel Dumfries could leave Inter in the coming weeks, with Mendes working to find the 29-year-old a new club.

Indeed, there’s a €25 million release clause that’s valid until the end of July.

Therefore, time is a factor.

Dumfries tore Barcelona apart in last season’s Champions League semifinals.

Indeed, he inspired Inter’s remarkable 7-6 aggregate win with outstanding performances in both legs.

In doing so, Dumfries caught Hansi Flick’s eye.

Now, Mendes is looking to capitalize on that and take his client to Camp Nou.

While Barcelona wouldn’t mind signing a player of Dumfries’ quality on favorable terms, they remain cash-strapped.

As a result, they cannot afford to meet the player’s exit clause at once.

Instead, they would need Inter to accept a structured payment plan, which doesn’t look likely.
