According to Foot Mercato, Rennes are hoping to still complete a deal to sign Yaser Asprilla (20) from Watford. This is despite the demands of the Colombian attacker’s agent preventing a deal from taking place due to LFP rules surrounding agent fees.
Asprilla’s agent is demanding more than 10% of the transfer value as a fee which is against LFP rules. Leicester have found an agreement with the player’s agent and Watford which makes a deal easier to complete. The Brittany outfit has reached an agreement with the EFL club worth €28m plus bonuses.
Les Rouges et Noirs have also offered Asprilla a net salary worth over €1.2m a season. A move is currently on standby between the Hornets and Rennes, but the Ligue 1 club have not lost hope in completing a deal to sign the attacker. Leicester are also still in the race but it is not yet a done deal.
