AtlĂ©tico Madrid’s run to the 2016 Champions League final had many defining moments but few were bigger than SaĂșl’s incredible solo goal against Bayern.

A little over 11 minutes into the first leg in Madrid, SaĂșl took the ball down at midfield and decided to go on a trip, weaving his way through the inviting defence before curling the ball in off the inside of the post.

Atlético went on to win the first leg by the same 1-0 scoreline before a 2-1 road defeat allowed them to advance to the final via away goals.

Unfortunately, Atlético were not able to get their revenge on city rivals Real Madrid from two years before and fell 5-3 on penalties after a fantastic 120 minutes.
