New signing Vitor Reis has chosen to wear the No. 22 shirt after his move from Palmeiras was finalised on Tuesday.

The 19-year-old Brazilian youth international has made the move to the Etihad Stadium on a four-and-a-half-year contract.

The deal means he will remain a City player until at least the summer of 2029.

And we can now confirm the defender will wear the No. 22 shirt as he begins life in English football.

Perhaps the most the most distinguished former City No. 22 is Richard Dunne, an Irish centre-back who won the Club’s Player of the Season award an unprecedented four years in succession. He remains a regular guest on our Matchday Live show.
