ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

We could see Oxlade-Chamberlain playing in the No.10 position for Liverpool. The player that plays in the No.10 position is expected to the playmaker for the team.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has shown in the past that he is capable of scoring and creating goals. The 27-year-old has scored 14 goals and registered 11 assists in 104 appearances for Liverpool.

Hopefully Oxlade-Chamberlain can stay fit for the majority of the 2021-22 campaign. The Englishman missed a total of 20 games through injury last season.

Oxlade-Chamberlain’s current contract expires in the summer of 2023. If Oxlade-Chamberlain wants a contract extension, it would be fair to assume that he needs to prove that he can stay fit.

The reality is, the midfielder has picked up several injuries during his time at Liverpool. Therefore, we don’t see the club keeping Oxlade-Chamberlain beyond 2023 if he can’t stay fit.
