According to a report via Le Parisien and confirmed by sources contacted by Get French Football News, newly-promoted Ligue 2 side Red Star FC are set to make their first signing of the summer in defender Bradley Danger on a free transfer. The 26-year-old captained Rodez last season, in a campaign which saw RAF qualify and reach the second phase of the Ligue 2 play-offs against all the odds.
Following a feel-good season in the Occitane region, Danger couldn’t find an agreement over a contract extension with Rodez. It precipitated a amicable departure from the club, leaving him free to sign with Paris suburb-based Red Star FC this summer.
It is reported that Red Star, whose players returned for pre-season training this week, are awaiting the signature of three players who are set to join the club. They will join new manager Grégory Poirier and his staff as they prepare for the club’s first season in the second tier for five years, following the departure of Habib Beye at the end of the season amidst uncertainty over the club’s ownership situation under 777 Partners. The Saint-Ouen club are now reportedly in the process of being acquired by Dallas-based property investment company Todd Interests.
