Following a 1-1 draw in the third tier between AS Nancy and Red Star FC, allegations of racist abuse were made by Red Star manager Habib Beye, as reported by L’Équipe. There were several heated confrontations between the two teams, and Red Star captain Cheick Ndoye (37) was seen throwing a bottle into the stands in frustration. Habib Beye then spoke to Nancy manager Benoît Pedretti and the referee to voice his frustration.

“Three of my players reported monkey cries to me, and we let things like that happen. It’s all trivialised. It’s always the same. It’s unacceptable and I see Nancy players going to greet their supporters afterwards? I’ll always fight against these things. I hope there will be sanctions,” said Beye to Canal+ after the game.
