Heading into the match against Cádiz, Real Madrid needed a win away from home to keep themselves in the LaLiga title race and Karim Benzema’s first-half heroics has them halfway there.
After the first 45 minutes, Benzema has been involved in all three of Madrid’s goals, scoring two and assisting another.
With the result, the in-form Frenchman has now equalled the club record of scoring against 35 different teams in the league.
Looking at this season alone, Benzema currently sits second in the Pichichi race with 21 goals only behind Barcelona’s Lionel Messi (23). He also has seven assists.
With another 45 minutes coming up and sitting on a hat-trick, can he continue to lead Real Madrid to another crucial victory?
