Real Madrid to postpone decision on future of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric – report

Real Madrid have some tough decisions to make this summer, with four veterans out of contract this summer. Lucas Vazquez looks to be close to staying at the club, Nacho Ferandnez is tipped to leave, and the cases of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric remain uncertain.

Despite various other sources declaring that decisions would be made this week with the German maetro and the relentless Croatian, Marca say that the decision will not be taken for several more weeks. Talks with both Kroos and Modric will happen after the Champions League final according to their information, and it is highly improbable that a decision is taken on either of their futures before that date in either sense.

Understandably, Los Blancos will not want to distract either from the task at hand in the Champions League final, but it does not leave much time for the decision to be made either. Both will be off to the Euros with their respective sides shortly after the final, and no doubt the celebrations will last at least 48 hours too. Other reports say that Modric is unlikely to continue, with Real Madrid feeling it is time for the 38-year-old to pass on the baton.
