La Liga giants Real Madrid are giving consideration to one last push, in their efforts to land a long-time transfer target before the summer is out.

That’s according to Relevo, who point towards Alphonso Davies as the player in question.

The name of defender Davies of course positioned itself front and centre in the headlines in Spain’s capital across the early weeks of the transfer window.

This came amid widespread confirmation that, ahead of the expiration of the Canadian’s contract with Bayern Munich in 12 months’ time, Real Madrid were eyeing a cut-price deal for his signature.

In the end, the brass at the Allianz Arena stood firm, adamant that Davies would be staying put for the coming season, before either signing fresh terms or departing as a free agent.

Evidently, though, this has not brought an end to the hopes of those behind the scenes at the Santiago Bernabéu that a deal could yet be struck before the summer is out.

In fact, as per a report from Relevo, with an agreement on the terms of a contract already in place with Davies himself:

‘Madrid are studying a final attempt this month.’
