Karim Benzema has been ruled out of Real Madrid’s upcoming Champions League group stage match away to Inter according to a report from the online edition of Spanish daily newspaper Marca.

The French striker missed Los Blancos 1-1 draw versus Villarreal this past weekend due to a muscle problem and in the days since he has trained separately to his teammates and this was also the case today as he trained alone in the gym and carried out some exercises on the training pitches.

Benzema, who has six goals in 11 games this term, is just the latest player to be ruled out for the match following fellow striker Luka Jovic, who is out due to having COVID-19 whilst Alvaro Odriozola is also ruled out.

Casemiro and Eder Militao are meanwhile awaiting the results of their latest COVID-19 tests and Sergio Ramos and Federico Valverde are both working on recovering from their respective injury problems.
