Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti on Monday provided an insight into the current situation in his squad, ahead of the fast-approaching Champions League final.

Real, of course, are set to bring the club’s campaign to a close this coming Saturday.

As much will come by way of a continental showcase meeting with Borussia Dortmund, at Wembley Stadium in London.

Speaking to the media in a pre-match press conference on Monday, the aforementioned Carlo Ancelotti, in turn, was drawn on a whole host of topics regarding the fixture.

And one in particular gave rise to some noteworthy news regarding ongoings in the Blancos camp.

After being asked about the personnel situation in his ranks just five days out from the Champions League final, Real’s headmaster admitted that Andriy Lunin is currently under the weather.

The shot-stopper is dealing with a bout of illness, which proved enough to keep him out of training earlier today.

The hope is that he will recover in time to take his place in the matchday setup to face Dortmund, albeit with the likelihood being that the Ukrainian will be forced to make do with a spot on the bench.

“Lunin has a fever today,” Ancelotti began. “We hope he will recover before Saturday.”
