A major update on the international future of Real Madrid star Brahim Díaz has been provided late on Sunday.
And the news will no doubt come as a blow to all those who remained hopeful of Brahim holding out for a call-up to the Spanish national team squad.
This comes amid confirmation that the 24-year-old, instead, has come to the definitive decision to commit his international future to Morocco.
The news, broken by Marca a short time ago, comes with Brahim’s patience with the country of his birth having finally worn out.
‘The decision is firm, it has been carefully considered, but it is immediate and there is no turning back,’ it is assured.
Brahim, who has of course enjoyed a stellar season back in Madrid to date, is in turn expected to be called up for Morocco’s upcoming friendly meetings with both Angola (March 22nd) and Mauritania (March 26th).
Though both of his parents are Spanish, the former AC Milan man qualifies for Moroccan nationality through his paternal grandmother.
