In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Real Madrid have set their sights on Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans. It has been claimed that Los Blancos are hoping to acquire the services of the Belgian international next year.

Tielemans’ Up And Down Season At Leicester

Tielemans has endured a difficult campaign with both his club and country but has done well to put in a lot of impressive displays for them in recent months. The 25-year-old has participated in 25 matches for the Foxes this season, finding the back of the net on four occasions and picking up three assists in various competitions.

The Belgian sensation has anchored the midfield well for Leicester by averaging 2.3 tackles, 0.8 interceptions, 0.7 clearances, 1.1 shots, 1.2 key passes and 0.5 dribbles per game in the Premier League. The Leicester talent can do a little bit of everything at the centre of the park. Tielemans loves a tackle and can sense the danger well to secure possession back for his side. He is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also serve as a holding midfielder or an attacking midfielder if asked to do so.

The Belgian sensation doesn’t mind clearing the danger when needed and remains a decent playmaker in the final third. He can even shoot the ball with power and precision from long range and can make some intelligent runs with the ball from midfield.

Tielemans is good enough to add more competition for Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni for a regular starting spot at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. He would even serve as an ideal successor to Luka Modric, who is edging closer to the end of his Real Madrid career.
