Real Madrid are ‘resigned’ to missing out on the signing of Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund with the Premier League considered his likeliest destination.

Europe’s leading clubs are preparing proposals to sign Bellingham from Dortmund this summer, with the England midfielder valued in the region of €150m at the Westfalenstadion.

The Spanish giants have made the teenager a top target, but The Athletic are reporting that Real Madrid fear the club will be priced out of a deal given the financial power of the Premier League.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side will continue to push for a deal for the 19-year-old, but are ‘realistic’ in regards to the package the club will be able to present.

Liverpool and Manchester City are viewed as the front runners among England’s top clubs and Real Madrid expect each to present more lucrative deals to Bellingham and his family, who are overseeing negotiations.

Real’s stance comes following a record-breaking winter spend from Premier League clubs, in which more than £720m was invested during the January window. In contrast, La Liga sides spent just £25m combined, with Chelsea alone outspending the collective outlay of top-tier clubs in Spain, Italy, Germany and France.

Bellingham will consider several factors in addition to finances and Real Madrid will hope that the midfielder follows the example of Aurelien Tchouameni, who insisted on a move to the Bernabeu despite interest from Liverpool last summer.
