Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has shared his thoughts on new coach Xabi Alonso, saying the former Bayer Leverkusen boss brings fresh energy to the squad.

After four years with Carlo Ancelotti Real Madrid have now turned to Alonso to lead them forward. The Spanish manager’s arrival has been like a shockwave, shaking things up at the club with his active style and hands-on approach.

Bellingham spoke to Real Madrid’s media team during their stay in Miami, saying, “He’s a very nice person and knows how to talk to players. What I love most about him is his energy for football.”

The young midfielder, who is finding his top form again, explained how Alonso’s lively presence on the training pitch has motivated the team. “He’s always moving, getting involved in every drill, almost like he’s still playing himself,” Bellingham added.

“When you see a coach so active, you are drawn to his energy. Especially for someone like me, who plays in midfield just like he did. It’s been a great first two weeks.”

Valverde also impressed

Bellingham is not the only one excited by Alonso’s arrival. Fellow midfielder Fede Valverde also praised the new manager’s way of working with the players. “He supports us and gives advice when we need it,” Valverde said.

“He was a great player, so hearing his words means a lot.” Valverde, who has already scored twice in the Club World Cup, believes Alonso’s passion is helping the team feel more united and ready to fight for trophies.

Alonso’s goal is to guide Real Madrid to victory in the Club World Cup as his first big task. His active coaching style is a big change from Ancelotti’s quiet leadership, but it is exactly what the players seem to need right now.
