Marin’s Recent Rise In Spanish Football

Marin has already put in a run of solid displays at the back for Los Blancos’ B team and has got two goals to his name after making a total of 33 appearances for them so far. The Spanish wonderkid is known for his dominance in the air and his ability to secure the ball back for his side.

The Guadajoz-born prospect could be on the verge of breaking into Carlo Ancelotti’s first XI. However, Marin is currently facing an uncertain future at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium as he is on an expiring contract.

Real Madrid Planning To Offer Marin A New Contract: Is He A Prospect For The Future?

Marin is a solid tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to secure the ball back for his team on the defensive third of the pitch. He usually clears the danger when needed and can use his towering 1.91m frame to dominate the opposition attackers in the air.

The Spanish centre-back has got the potential to become one of the best players in his position someday. However, for now, his main focus should be to break into Carlo Ancelotti‘s first team.

At 20, Marin is still quite inexperienced and would need time before he is ready to feature in top-flight football. He is primarily a central defender but can also operate as a left-back if his manager asks him to do so.

It is only logical for Real Madrid to try and tie him down to a new, long-term contract as he has got the ceiling to become a real fan favorite at the Madrid club in the future. Hence, Los Blancos should focus on going all out to ensure the gifted defender’s services for the long run as there is no doubt that he is a prospect to watch out for in the coming seasons as long as he continues to improve his overall game with each year.
