Real Madrid overtake Man City as football’s highest earners | OneFootball

Real Madrid have overtaken Manchester City as the club with the highest revenue, according to the latest figures published from Deloitte.

The Spanish side have returned to top spot for the 2022/23 season after generating a record revenue of £723m last season. That income came despite missing out on both La Liga and the Champions League, though Carlo Ancelotti’s side did win the Copa del Rey, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup.

Manchester City (£718m) drop to second despite their own record revenues. The Citizens’ record-breaking numbers come after winning a Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League treble last season.

Manchester United have climbed back into the top five, behind Paris Saint-Germain (3rd) and Barcelona (4th), though Liverpool are noticeable fallers. The Reds have dropped from third to seventh, after missing out on Champions League qualification.

Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal are all inside the top 10 earning clubs in world football, while there’s further representation from English football inside the top 20. Newcastle, up to 17th from 20th last year, and West Ham (18th) also feature.
