Real Madrid’s summer transfer window is beginning to take shape months before its official commencement.
Come June, Kylian Mbappe’s much-awaited move to the Spanish capital is expected to finally go through and steal the headlines as one of the sport’s biggest heists in recent history.
Further, Perez has promised the French star that the club will make two more big signings this summer in Alphonso Davies and Leny Yoro, both of whom appear on track as matters stand.
According to reports from Defensa Central, Florentino Perez has been offered two of the Premier League’s best players in recent weeks, both from Chelsea.
The London-based side are under pressure to sell players this summer after overspending in recent transfer windows and have thus offered Enzo Fernandez and Marc Cucurella to the Spanish giants.
2022 World Cup winner Fernandez signed for Chelsea last January for a fee of €121 million, making him the league’s most expensive midfield signing of all time. However, he has not lived up to his price tag and is thus on Chelsea’s departure list.

Cucurella, meanwhile, is a graduate of Barcelona’s La Masia and was snapped up by Chelsea in 2022 for a price of €65 million. A left-back by trade, he has not been a regular starter this season for the English side.
As revealed by the same source, Real Madrid are unimpressed by both offers and do not see them as players who would add much value to the already rich squad.
Carlo Ancelotti has full faith in Aurelien Tchouameni to cover the defensive midfield position in the long run, negating any need for Fernanadez’s profile. Moreover, the management sees the current crop of midfielders to house a complete repertoire of skills.
Cucurella’s signing, meanwhile, makes even less sense considering Real Madrid’s objective of signing Alphonso Davies. As the Merengues see it, the Canadian superstar is a superior player and his arrival will safeguard the left-back position for years.
