Eder Militao is one of the few unfortunate stars at Real Madrid, who have had to deal with injuries all throughout the season.

The Brazilian had picked up a serious injury on the first day of the season, which has kept him out on the sidelines since.

But after a long layoff, it appears the defender is finally on the verge of returning to action.

Real Madrid planning ‘imminent return’

A recent report from AS has offered a fresh update on the fitness of Eder Militao, confirming his fast recovery.

As per the report, Real Madrid are convinced of Militao’s recovery, especially after the defender’s participation in two friendly matches during the international break.

AS further adds that Real Madrid are planning Militao’s ‘imminent return’ to the pitch. The club’s idea is to reinstate the defensive combo of Militao and Antonio Rudiger, with Aurelien Tchouameni moving back to his midfield role.

The technical and medical staff of Real Madrid are impressed with Militao’s recovery process and expect him to become fully fit in a few weeks.

Mission Mallorca

However, after a fresh blow to Thibaut Courtois earlier this month, Real Madrid are also wary about potentially aggravating Militao’s injury by rushing his return.

The club, therefore, have raised a conservative target of bringing Militao back to the pitch for the league game against Mallorca on April 13.

Real Madrid plan on having the Brazilian back in action against Mallorca, so that he can be fully fit by April 17, when Los Blancos take on Manchester City.

But as things stand, it appears Militao is likely to miss the first leg against the English champions.
