Real Madrid reportedly ‘have doubts’ over the future over Achraf Hakimi with the defender’s two-year loan spell at Borussia Dortmund coming to an end.
Hakimi has spent the past couple of seasons with the German side and has grown to become one of the best attacking full-backs in Europe.
Dortmund would undoubtedly love to keep the Morocco international but Los Blancos are keen to see the 21-year-old return to Santiago Bernabéu once the current campaign comes to an end.
AS though, have revealed that the capital club are concerned about Hakimi’s future as they cannot guarantee him first team football next term.
Hakimi will have to fight with Dani Carvajal for a starting spot, but the 21-year-old is thinking twice about going back to his parent club.
Despite having a good relationship with Zinedine Zidane, Hakimi does not want to take a backwards step in his development and could look to leave Real Madrid as a result.
Dortmund, as well as clubs from England and Italy, are thought to be monitoring the situation with AS claiming that a switch to the Premier League is likely.
