Andriy Lunin is one of the few Real Madrid players whose future is uncertain heading into the new season.
The Ukrainian international continues to play second fiddle to Thibaut Courtois in goal despite having proven himself to be capable enough to be a regular starter himself.
As such, question marks linger over his future this summer, with a number of clubs being interested in his services.
However, according to MARCA, Andriy Lunin has made his decision for the upcoming season: he wants to remain at Real Madrid.
The 26-year-old goalkeeper is very comfortable living in the Spanish capital and, despite receiving several offers, none match the personal and professional conditions offered by the club.
Lunin renewed his contract last summer until 30 June 2030 and intends to continue at the Santiago Bernabeu. He has already communicated this to the club in discussions held before the start of the Club World Cup.

Additionally, the goalkeeper is looking forward to learning and working under the methods of new head coach Xabi Alonso, who has taken charge of the first team in the United States.
Although he is fully aware that competing with Courtois is extremely difficult and that securing the starting position is almost impossible, his plan is to continue competing and preparing himself to be ready whenever the team needs him.
In this regard, Real Madrid goalkeeping coach Luis Llopis is very pleased with Lunin’s work and commitment.
In the context of a long summer transfer window, which closes on 31 August, the only scenario that could make Lunin reconsider would be an irresistible offer from a top-tier European club that could guarantee him an undisputed starting role.
However, such a possibility is not currently on the table and is not being pursued. Galatasaray have made enquiries, and Real Oviedo see Lunin as a major target, but the Real Madrid goalkeeper is not considering such moves at this time.
The reality is that both Lunin and Real Madrid intend to continue together, and neither party is contemplating a separation this season.
