Fabián Ruiz has become a star with the Spanish national team as the 28-year-old continues to impress. Nonetheless, while he might not be an undisputed starter at Paris Saint-Germain, the player has no intention of leaving.

OKDiario’s Eduardo Inda stated that Real Madrid would love to have an opportunity to land the midfielder. Moreover, Inda notes that the UEFA Euro 2024 winner’s relationship with manager Luis Enrique isn’t the best.

“There is a club he has always loved, and this club doesn’t dislike the player,” Inda said on the set of El Chiringuito. “Real Madrid likes him and he would be interested in going there. He’s a footballer who wants to leave his current club because his relationship with the coach is bad.

Nonetheless, L’ÉQUIPE reports that Ruiz never seriously considered leaving PSG this summer despite interest from other clubs. The Spaniard is ready to fight for his spot in the starting eleven, even with the tough competition in midfield. Privately, Ruiz assures that PSG is where he feels at home.

Following his brace against Switzerland, Ruiz entered an elite group in the Luis de la Fuente era. OptaJose spotlighted on Twitter the top Spain players involved in the most goals under de la Fuente across all competitions:

  • Lamine Yamal: three goals, eight assists
  • Joselu Mato: six goals, two assists
  • Mikel Oyarzabal: six goals, two assists
  • Dani Olmo: six goals, two assists
  • Nico Williams: three goals, five assists
  • Fabián Ruiz: four goals, four assists
