The powers that be at La Liga giants Real Madrid have set their sights on yet another up-and-coming Brazilian talent.
That’s according to ESPN Brasil, as cited by Diario AS, who point towards Vitor Reis as the player in the sights of the Spanish champions.
Reis, for his part, is an 18-year-old central defender, who is currently plying his trade with Palmerias.
The stopper has long been held in high regard in his home country, as evidenced by his status as a regular in the Brazilian youth team setups.
He has broken onto the first-team picture at Palmeiras in 2024, with his composed performances to date having begun to pique attentions across Europe.
One such club keen, it is understood, are Real Madrid, who all of a sudden are on the lookout for reinforcements at the heart of defence.
After seeing the club’s central defensive options reduced ever further by way of youngster Joan Martínez’s ACL tear, Reis has been earmarked as a leading target to replace the Spaniard.
Contacts are yet to be initiated with Palmeiras, but as much is expected before the summer is out.
