Reinier Jesus is Flamengo’s most promising youngster since Vinícius Júnior and Real Madrid are thinking about swooping in for the 17-year-old.

That’s according to Brazilian outlet GloboEsporte, who claimed that Los Blancos were interested a year ago, prior to his first professional appearance.

Reinier, who will turn 18 in January, dazzled in his 15 appearances this year and signed a new contract that gave the player a huge pay raise but lowered his release clause to €35m.

The player has been tracked by many of Europe’s giants due to his age, talent, and extreme versatility.

In just 727 minutes of first-team action, Reinier scored six goals (one every 121 minutes) and added two assists while featuring as a number 10, a winger, and a striker.

Real Madrid are believed to be ahead of other sides such as Manchester City, Juventus, Barcelona, Roma, Milan, Arsenal, and Everton due to his love for the club and the strong Brazilian contingent in the side.
