The name of 14-year-old Real Valladolid talent Guilherme Ruck has been linked with Real Madrid and Barcelona over the past few months.
Despite his tender age, the Brazilian gem has been making waves in the youth footballing scenes in Spain and is regarded as a bright, up-and-coming talent with immense potential.
Naturally, Ruck managed to pique the interest of Real Madrid, who have been known to keep an eye on special young prospects. Along with Los Merengues, their arch-rivals Barcelona, too, had caught wind of the 14-year-old’s promise.
However, as per latest reports in Brazil, as relayed by SPORT, Real Madrid and Barcelona are all set to face defeat in their pursuit of Gui Ruck.
Indeed, as per the report, the 14-year-old is in advance talks to return to his homeland, Brazil, by joining the youth academy of Flamengo.
It is claimed that negotiations between the teenager’s entourage and the Brazilian club are in advanced stages and an agreement could be close. As such, Ruck could be headed back to Brazil in the summer.
Having moved to Europe at a young age, Ruck has spent time at the academies of Vitoria de Guimaraes, SC Braga, and FC Porto. He arrived at Valladolid in 2021 and has been attracting the interest of scouts from across Europe.
Real Madrid and Barcelona, too, were keen on the 14-year-old’s services. But as things stand, if the aforementioned report is to be believed, Ruck could be headed to Flamengo come summer.
