Kylian Mbappé and PSG president argued before Toulouse defeat | OneFootball

According to Le Parisien, Nasser Al-Khelaifi sought an explanation from Kylian Mbappé (25) over why he had been left out of the French forward’s goodbye message to Paris Saint-Germain.

The club president reportedly scheduled a meeting with Mbappé a few hours before the match against Toulouse FC on Sunday evening as he sought clarification over why he had been omitted from the long list of thank yous.

Al-Khelaifi was thought to be aggrieved by this omission despite having made Mbappé the richest player in the world with the contract offer in 2022.

However, an explanation was said to have quickly descended into a shouting match between the two individuals. A source speaking to Le Parisien alleged that the “walls shook” as the player and his president clashed.

Frosty relationship since February

Mbappé and Al-Khelaifi have reportedly not spoken since February when the Frenchman announced to the president his decision to leave at the end of the season so that he could join Real Madrid, and for weeks leading up to this meeting they have been thought to have purposefully avoided one another.
