Zidane's side, who play at home for the first time in 25 days, will be aiming to record their sixth victory of the season in their 10th match of the competition.

Zidane, who is among the candidates for the FIFA Best Coach Award 2020, said at the press conference ahead of the clash: “If we work as a unit and are focused, we're very tough to beat”. The Frenchman has named a 19-man squad and is now without the injured Carvajal. Real Madrid have not conceded a goal against Alavés on the Basques' last five visits. In the matches between these two sides since the 2016/17 season, when Alavés returned to the Primera División, the madridistas have netted a total of 12 times.
