An update on the wellbeing of Real Betis star Nabil Fekir has come to the fore on Monday.

This comes after the Frenchman was left bloodied and bruised, during Betis’ meeting with Athletic Club over the weekend.

En route to his side’s eventual 3-1 triumph, Fekir took a heavy blow to the face by way of Beñat Prados late in the first-half.

With blood streaming from his nose, the 30-year-old was quickly seen to by the Verdiblancos’ medical staff, before being given permission to reenter the field of play.

Fekir, from here, managed to last until the 80th minute, before ultimately being hooked by boss Manuel Pellegrini.

And now, as alluded to above, an insight into the extent of the damage suffered by the former Lyon standout has been provided.

The info comes courtesy of ABC, who have confirmed that Fekir has broken the bones in his nose.

As much means that the attacker will be forced to wear a protective mask whilst training over the coming days, as well as, most likely, in Betis’ upcoming La Liga clash with Atlético Madrid.
