Valles, for his part, is fresh off a stellar campaign between the posts in Gran Canaria.

All told, the Spaniard featured from the off in all but one of Las Palmas’ 37 league outings, establishing himself as one of La Liga’s standout goalkeepers along the way.

Such efforts have given rise to links with a whole host of Spanish clubs, with the aforementioned Real Betis amongst the most keen.

The brass at the Estadio Benito Villamarín are eager to secure shot-stopping reinforcements with a view to next season, with Valles considered the ideal profile.

Any operation, however, is complicated by the Verdiblancos’ financial situation.

Despite Valles having just 12 months remaining on his contract with Las Palmas, the Betis board have been unable to piece together the kind of fee being demanded for his signature.

As per the aforementioned Marca, a series of exchange deals, as a result, are being taken into consideration.

In an effort to simultaneously drive the price of the operation down, and reduce the club’s wage bill, Real Betis are prepared to offer up all of Juanmi, Rodri and Borja Iglesias in part-exchange for Valles.
