A trio of transfer deals at La Liga outfit Real Betis have on Friday evening been confirmed.
This, of course, comes ahead of the fast-approaching Spanish transfer deadline.
First, a long-rumoured departure from Manuel Pellegrini’s squad has been announced, with Nabil Fekir having put pen to paper on terms with Qatari giants Al-Jazira.
And the brass at the Estadio Benito Villamarín have wasted little time in sourcing Fekir’s replacement.
As per a report from transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham Hotspur star Giovani Lo Celso, who enjoyed arguably the best season of his career during a short-term stint with Betis back in 2018/19, has agreed on a return:
And the business on the green half of the Seville divide has not come to an end there, either.
This comes amid confirmation that, as part of the agreement which is set to take Lo Celso back to Betis, Tottenham have also secured a ‘priority option’ to purchase Verdiblancos midfielder Jhonny Cardoso.
In a further update by way of Fabrizio Romano, it is also added:
‘Cardoso has agreed and documents are being prepared right now with Spurs. In case Tottenham decide against signing Cardoso in future, they’ll have sell-on clause.’
