Teddy Sheringham may not have been the most iconic star in Man United's 1999 treble-winning squad, but he is remembered fondly for helping the club produce one of its greatest-ever victories.

Sheringham made over 150 appearances for the Red Devils and scored 46 goals, with his strike in the 1999 Champions League final arguably his most impactful.

United trailed Bayern Munich 1-0 heading into second-half injury time before Sheringham, in trademark poacher style, poked in the equaliser from Ryan Giggs' wayward shot.

The goal ultimately gave United momentum and Ole Gunnar SolskjÊr netted the winner in the 93rd minute five as Sir Alex Ferguson's side won a historic treble.
