Raúl Gudiño: One of the best goalkeepers in Liga MX this season | OneFootball

At the start of the tournament, one of the main concerns for Chivas was how they would perform between the sticks.

There were doubts over who would be the starter in the Chivas goal but Raúl Gudiño took hold and became one of their most influential players this season.

Regarding goalkeepers who featured for over 1,000 minutes this season, Gudiño was number one in Liga MX in goals conceded (six), first in the advanced metric goals prevented (4.9), and third in the league in clean sheets (seven).

Without a doubt, Gudiño will be a candidate to be named to the Liga MX Ideal XI, although other goalkeepers like Guillermo Ochoa may have a thing or two to say about that.

Despite his strong performances this season, Gudiño was not named to the latest El Tri squad as Ochoa, Alfredo Talavera (Pumas), and Rodolfo Cota (León) all got the nod ahead of him.
