Hansi Flick’s Barcelona side returned to training this Tuesday morning at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper after a day off, completing the first of two sessions scheduled for the day.

Although his signing has yet to be officially confirmed and his contract not yet signed, the session allowed Marcus Rashford to meet his future teammates, reports SPORT.

Rashford meets with teammates

Rashford arrived in Barcelona over the weekend and completed his medical successfully on Monday.

Following that, the 27-year-old attacker trained individually by himself, given that the rest of the Barça squad had the day off.

Today, with the rest of the team returning to training, Rashford made use of the session to meet with his new teammates, even though his signing has not been made official – a formality expected on Wednesday afternoon before his first media appearance.

After that, the Manchester United loanee continued his individual preparation to get himself ready for the tour of Asia.

No Marc-Andre ter Stegen

Meanwhile, as has been the case since Barcelona resumed training last week, Marc-Andre ter Stegen did not join the group.

The captain continues to struggle with back problems and is still deciding on the treatment he will follow. All indications suggest he will undergo surgery, which would sideline him for approximately four months.

Several players from the reserve squad were involved in today’s session. Flick has already ruled out some of them for the pre-season tour, but Jofre Torrents and Pedro Fernandez (‘Dro’) trained with the first team, as did cousins Guille and Toni Fernandez, and Roony Bardghji.
