We’re only a few days away from the start of the new Premier League season.
Which means we’re only a few days away from getting our first glimpses of the brand new kits for 2018/19.
But who’s looking catwalk-ready in their away kits? And which clubs are committing the ultimate fashion faux pas?
Let’s find out.
20. Manchester United
This is what United’s away kit is rumoured to be but until we have official confirmation then it’s last place for them.
19. Liverpool
Away from home. Our @NBFootball 18/19 away kit has arrived: https://t.co/lt4dLp6ac3 #ThisMeansMore–
There’s a very good reason why this one is in 19th place. Look. At. The. State. Of. That. Purple and orange? Shambles all around.
18. Brighton
We like you, Brighton. We like Chris Hughton. We’ve loved your recruitment this summer. Don’t come here with your green kit and make this hard for us.
17. Watford
Oh no, Watford. What have you done? Your home kit is gorgeous but you look like a Sunderland tribute act in your away strip. Kill it with fire.
16. Tottenham
Shocking. We get the feeling Nike just can’t be bothered nowadays. The navy colour is nice, but what the hell is that shoulder patch all about?
15. Southampton
When you close your eyes and think of Southampton, something like this wouldn’t be too far off. But it just looks a bit Sunday league? Back to the drawing board, lads.
14. Cardiff
Another plain Jane design. On brand with the Cardiff colour scheme which is nice, but other than that pretty bland. Quite like the stripes though.
13. Bournemouth
Clean, effective colour scheme with a nice looking sponsor on the front as well. Won’t offend anyone, won’t amaze anyone, so they justify their spot around mid-table.
12. Everton
Always a bold move trying to implement pink into your wardrobe, but Everton have done it well. They’ve kept things simple but acknowledged there’s something different. That Angry Birds logo is such an eyesore though.
11. Burnley
Burnley. Woof. You finally get into Europe and realise you need an elite strip on your travels. We’ve got so much time for that, not to mention the stunning blackout design.
10. West Ham
Shirt? Great. Shorts? Great. Socks? What on earth has happened there. This was comfortably top five until they went and ruined it. So much potential!
9. Huddersfield
“Are you Bournemouth in disguise?” – Giving Umbro some credit here, this red and black kit is a solid effort – if a little average. Bringing back the Terrier logo will certainly endear the fans though.
8. Leicester
We weren’t sure about this one on first viewing but it’s grown on us. The orange accent is really smart, as is the checkered pattern across the bulk of the shirt.
7. Chelsea
Chelsea: home should be blue, away should be yellow. Well done Nike for getting your act together. No more of this fluorescent rubbish.
6. Wolves
It’s hard to take your eyes off the home kit, but we’re showing love the away kit too. White and black are arguably the two most complimentary colours and you can see that here. Danny Batth’s chiseled jawline probably helps.
5. Arsenal
“Don’t worry, they look better in person” – ever heard that phrase before? Well, this strip is that to a tee. Purple is a great colour and it’s about time designers realised this. The less said about those pyjama-esque shorts though, the better.
4. Fulham
They smashed the home kit and now they’ve smashed their away kit. The main charcoal colour is gorgeous, plus it makes the yellow and white accents really stand out. Big fan.
3. Manchester City
This number from Manchester City has taken some stick, but we’re going to stand up for it. Smooth, different and that neckline is great. Looking forward to seeing this in action.
2. Crystal Palace
Another stunning jersey. The design is based on Palace’s away strip from 1978 when they won the old Second Division and FA Youth Cup – we love that. Roy Hodgson will be hoping for inspiration again.
1. Newcastle
Oh, you beauty. There’s only so much you can do with the Newcastle home strip, but they got a bit creative with the away and we’re here for it. Much like Crystal Palace they’re paying tribute to a iconic design with a touch of modernisation.
