Rangers’ biggest danger on Thursday at Old Trafford is not their opponent Manchester United, but in fact the watching world.
There are few bigger football arenas in the world than Old Trafford in terms of history, prestige and sheer fame and the watching world will most certainly have eyes on this one as a gigantic battle of Britain.
However, it is not the being watched that is the problem it’s Hamza’s form.
Should Rangers’ star striker have a potentially great match on this gigantic stage in the Europa league at Old Trafford not only will the watching world be alerted to his qualities, but Man United themselves might want him!
Hamza’ stock has risen hugely in the past two or three months ever since he’s finally settled into the Scottish way of football.
As Ibrox Noise reported recently not only are Everton keeping tabs on the Moroccan but an unnamed Premier League team are also considering a bid.
The old Trafford giants themselves may be added to this list if Hamza performs against them not to mention a bunch of other teams who will be watching this match with interest.
It is a huge showcase and is coming just towards the end of the transfer window as major deals are starting to be struck.
Naturally rangers fans are hugely against selling our star striker but money talks and a bid of anything over £10 million will tempt Rangers board.
Man United are hardly in great form right now aren’t scoring many goals and are mid table for a reason. That the slightly above average Amad is probably their star player these days gives some idea of how low their stock is.
They could certainly do with a star goal-getter and Hamza could be that man.
For Rangers fans’ mental health we hope not.
